Beragh 5 Mile Road Race and 5K Fun Run/Walk

The Beragh 5 Mile Road Race and 5K Fun Run/Walk takes place at 11am on Saturday 31st March 2018 at St Mary’s Park.

Entry fee is £10 for the 5 mile run and £7 for the 5k run.

T-shirts will be supplied to the first 250 entrants for the five mile event. Head buffs will be on offer for the first 250 entrants to the 5K. Pre-registration takes place at St Mary’s Pavilion on Friday 30th March from 7pm-9pm.
A prize will be on offer for breaking Kenyan athlete Vincent Kiprotich’s 24:51 course record.

The popular community event includes two separate routes through the scenic Mid Tyrone countryside.

The chip-timed 5 Mile Road Race route has in recent years attracted some of the best running talent across the region. However at its core, the Beragh 5 remains a community driven event for all ages and abilities with the 5K Fun Run/Walk route.

The designated charity for this year’s Beragh 5 is Motor Neurone Disease.

Couch to 5K!

Beragh couch to 5K 2018 starting on Saturday 3rd February at 10am at the pitch offers:
  • A ten week training programme
  • Support from experienced coaches
  • 2 training session per week
  • Entry into the 5K run with chipped time
  • Free head buff at the Beragh 5
  • Feel Good Fun!

Training sessions essions take place every Saturday morning at 10am with Conor Moore and Wednesday evenings at 7:30pm with Darryl Meenagh
Cost is £30 per adult £10 per child or £50 per family.

We hope to see some familiar and new faces. Everyone is welcome, from those starting out to those who want to improve their time.

Anyone who has kept up the running and would like to volunteer as a helper, your experience and help would be more than welcome and appreciated.
