Fixtures –

The U14 Girls play in the championship Semi-Final on Wednesday evening (June 15th), away to Coalisland at 7pm.

The U12 Boys Go-Games football fixture if fixed for Wednesday (15th June), Derrylaughan V Beragh.

The Senior Ladies face Badoney in the Preliminary Round of the Championship on Thursday, 7:30pm. Venue TBC.

The Minor ladies League Final is fixed for Saturday V Fintona at 6pm, Venue TBC. Keep an eye on our Facebook page because this fixture my change.

The U8 Boys are hosting their Blitz in St.Marys Park this Saturday morning (18th). Help will be required on the day in terms of referees, umpires, serving of teas etc.

The U21 Men V Kildress on Saturday, away at 6pm. They play again at home on Tuesday (21st) V Eglish, 8pm.

The Seniors and Reserves completed a home double over Rock on Sunday.
Beragh Red Knights: 0-21 (4-13)

Despite Rock being down to 14 men in the first-half Beragh trailed by one point at half time. The sides were point for point, Beragh then settled and equalised at three stages in the second half with excellent scores from defenders Ben McSorley, Paul Owens and Chrissy Devlin. Eddie Molloy put the knights ahead making it 0-15 to 0-14. in the later stages of the second half. From there the Beragh lads dominated, leaving Rock scoreless and creating plenty of chances allowing Beragh to pull away and eventually put seven between the teams.

There next game is Sunday week (26th June) with a home game against Brockagh.
 

The Under 14 Boys ended their season last Thursday with a defeat to Cookstown in the Championship Semi Final. The Boys played well throughout and put in a really spirited performance but goals from the Cookstown forwards proved to be the difference. The final score was, Red Knights 3-11 to Cookstown 6-7. The boys can be very proud of their efforts and progress all year. The future is bright with great talent coming through the ranks in our underage teams.

We will see most of these boys out at U16 training again on Friday at 7pm.

Beragh Red Knights Golf Classic

Beragh Red Knights GAA and Breacach Handball Club are preparing to swing into action with a four-ball golf classic this July.
It is anticipated that 54 teams will take to the Omagh course on 8th July and all those interested in reserving a time slot should do so by Friday 3rd June.
Thanks to the events two main sponsors Paul Tallon, The Medical Hall, Sixmilecross and Gerald McAleer of J McAleer & Sons, Builders Merchants, Curr Road, Beragh, for their continued generosity in supporting club events.

Underage Training

Training for U6, U8, U10 and U12s continues on Saturday mornings from 11am to 12:15pm and Wednesdays 6:30 – 7:30pm. New boys and girls are always welcome.

From January 2014, the GAA rule to wear a mouth guard is mandatory for all players, in ALL age grades. All children must wear a mouth guard to training and Blitz’ or they will be asked to sit out.

 

Social and cultural

Child Drama Class continues on Monday from 6-7pm for P2 – P4s and 7-8pm for P5 – P7s. All places filled.

Adult drama classes are on Monday nights from 8-9pm. These classes will be for secondary school age or over.

Guitar lessons concludes this Sunday at the Pavilion: 1.30pm-2.30pm. Well done to the boys and girls and thanks to tutor Maeve McElduff.

 

Roscavey Primary School
Roscavey Primary School is celebrating its 50th Anniversary.  To celebrate this landmark occasion, all past and present pupils, parents, staff and members of the wider community are invited to a thanksgiving Mass, book launch and local history display on Friday 24th June at 7pm in the school.  Light refreshments will be served.

Tyrone GAA for ALL Programme
Tyrone GAA are providing a coaching programme which is inclusive, stimulating and fun for all children and adults from within the County with a disability who wish to play Gaelic Football.
Venue: Tyrone GAA Centre, Garvaghey
Dates: 16th, 23rd May and the 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th June
Time: 7 – 8pm

All participants in the programme will have the opportunity to represent their County at the following games/events:
Ulster Senior Championship Semi Final
Activity Day to Croke Park
Tyrone Club Championship in Healy Park

The numbers drawn in this week’s Four Star Lotto draw were 2, 4, 18 and 27. Sean Fitzmaurice and Dympna Owens share £50. Next draw will take place on Sunday at 10pm in Heaneys. Jackpot – £1,900. Lotto helpers are Pete and Dympna Owens.
