The whole community are encouraged to turn out for the Beragh 5 Mile Road Race and 5K Fun Run/Walk, which starts at noon on Saturday at St Mary’s Park. Registration sessions will take place Friday 7-9pm and Saturday 10-11.30am in the Pavilion. £12 for 5 mile run (£7 for 5K). T-Shirts for the first 250 5-mile entrants and head buffs for the first 200 5K entrants.



Because of the Beragh 5, Underage training (U-8, U-10 and U-12) will not take place on Saturday. It will continue on Wednesday again from 6:30 – 7:30pm.

The Minor girls travel to the Rock on Sat 9th for 6:30.

The U14 girls play Cappagh at home on the 14th at 6:45.


This week Gaelic Start will take place at St.Mary’s Hall on Friday from 7:15pm for 1 hour. This is the second last week and is open for children up to P2 (aged from three to six-years), boys and girls. Parent participation is very welcome.


Child Drama Class will continue on Monday from 6-7pm for P2 – P4’s and 7-8pm for P5 – P7’s. All Places are now taken up.


Adult drama classes are on Monday nights from 8pm to 9pm. lasting initially for 5 weeks. These classes will be from anyone Secondary school age or over. We encourage you all to give it a go.


Tin whistle continues on Tuesday at 6:30. Guitar lessons for beginners (P6 up) resumes on Sunday at the Pavilion: 1.30pm-2.30pm.


The Women’s Group Yoga/Pilates class and light chair exercise classes are now finished for the summer. Every effort will be made to start them again in September.


The numbers drawn in this week’s Four Star Lotto draw were 1, 4, 14 and 25. Ronan Grimes wins £50. Next draw on Sunday 10pm in Farley’s. Jackpot – £1,400. Lotto helper is Michael Montague.
