Brackey Handball Gala

Brackey Handball Club is this year celebrating its Golden Jubilee and to mark the occasion, it is hosting a Celebration Gala on Friday 28th November at the Glenavon Hotel, Cookstown.  Last chance to book a seat as the final few tickets are selling fast contact either Sean Clarke (80771178) or Terry Clarke (80771307) as soon as possible.


Picture - Tyrone handball club, Brackey, were recently awarded the All-Ireland Handball Club of the Year award as they significantly prepare for their "Golden Jubilee Gala Banquet". The event comes in the most successful ever era for the club and will take place on 28th November 2008 in The Glenavon House Hotel in Cookstown. Pictured are committee members and some of the players who have been making the headlines on the court over the past few seasons.

Irish music classes start in the pavilion on Wednesday 29th Oct @6:30pm finishing at 8pm sharp. Tin whistle, fiddle and banjo teacher Mairead Kelly.

Members who wish to receive an AGM nomination and motion form are asked to contact Barry Conroy as soon as possible as completed forms should be returned to Barry by Sunday evening at 10pm.  Members are also asked to note that the Club’s AGM takes place on Sunday 30th November at 6pm at the pavilion.

Club Notes 20th Nov 08 Normal 0 The last meeting of the Executive Committee before the AGM will be held tonight (Thursday) at 8:30pm with all members asked to attend.   Thanks to all the members who helped with the Club’s Annual Mass for deceased members which was held on Sunday last.  Thanks also to Fr. McAnerney for acting as the celebrant.    Brackey Handball Club is this year celebrating its Golden Jubilee and to mark the occasion, it is hosting a Celebration Gala on Friday next (28th) at the Glenavon Hotel, Cookstown.  It promises to be a memorable night and anyone interested in booking the last few available seats are asked to contact either Sean Clarke (80771178) or Terry Clarke (80771307) immediately.    The Club Shop will be open on Saturday at the pavilion from 3 – 5pm, with a few new ranges of merchandise available.   Members are asked to note that the Club’s AGM takes place on Sunday next (30th) at 6pm at the pavilion.  All members are asked to attend and to take an interest in the running of your Club.   Drama continues on Thursdays at same times for all registered members.  Men’s circuits continue on Thursdays evening at 8:30pm with Brenda Kerr.  Pump & Tone continues on a Monday nights at 7:15pm for registered members.  Aerobics also continues on Tuesday Nights at 7:30pm with Christine mc Nally.  Yoga for children continues at the pavilion on Wednesdays at 4:30pm.  It is an ideal class for primary school children and they are encouraged to try it out.  Music continues in the pavilion on Wednesday evenings at 6:30pm   The 3 number winners in last weekend’s Four Star Lotto were Charlene Short and the McCann family.  The numbers drawn were 5, 18, 19 & 29.  The jackpot increases to £1,400 with the draw taking place on Sunday night in Farley’s Bar at 10pm.  Lotto helpers are Michael Montague and Shane McCarney.
