Since the formation of the first club in the parish in 1906, the GAA has been carried on constantly since then by the Sixmilecross Wolfe Tones (1906-1920),
Beragh Red Knights (1921),Sons of the Gael (1931) Brackey Wolfe Tones (1933) St Mary's (1944) and Red Knights (1972).

Successes have included JFC in 1947 and 1988, JFL in 1981 and 1988, West Tyrone Senior League in 1935, Intermediate Championship 1993 and 2000 and Intermediate League in 1972 and 2000. St Enda Cup won in 1958, McElduff Cup in 1972 and 1999, McGarrity Cup in 1999.


Off the field, Beragh Red Knights won the AIB Club of the Year awards in
1979 and 1981 and McNamee award in 1979. Grounds purchased in 1954, underwent further development in the 1970s, handball alley built in 1981 and new sports pavillion opened 17th March 2006.


Other aspects of gaelic games and culture have also been actively promotion, including Camogie 1933 and reformed 1977, Ladies Football 1993 and Hurling in 1983. The club has also enjoyed County successes in Scor and Scor Na Og.


GAA Milestones

1906 - First club formed in the Parish - Sixmilecross Wolfe Tones.
1908 - Co Final played in Sixmilecross.
1913 - County Final Played in Sixmilecross and Wofle Tones to the fore in re-organisation of GAA in Tyrone.
1917 - Joint leaders of West Tyrone League.
1918 - Teams playing in Brackey and Beragh.
1920 - GAA Sports held at Cooley Park.
1921 - Formation of Beragh Red Knights.
* 1924 - Red Knights reach Co Semi-Final where they lost to eventual champions, Stewartstown Harps.
1928 - Team from the Parish take part in the first Tyrone Championship played for the O'Neill Cup.
1931 - Club reformed as 'Sons of the Gael.'
1933 - Sixmilecross St Brigid's Camogie team formed, later described as Beragh St Brigid's.
* 1935 - Beragh reach West Tyrone Final (Co Semi-Final) lost out to Omagh.
1936 - Beragh competing in Senior Football League and Brackey in Junior Football League.
1939 - Brackey win Tyrone Junior title, but later disqualified. Winners of Herald Cup.
1940 - Teams in Beragh and Brackey continue to compete in Tyrone Leagues.
1945 - Club reformed under the name Beragh St Mary's.
1947 - Beragh win Tyrone Junior title, defeating Washingbay in Final.
1950/52 - Beragh Minor team reaches County Final, losing out to Coalisland on both occasions.
1954 - St Mary's Park purchased.
* 1955 - Beragh reach Co Semi-Final, where they lost out to eventual champions, Coalisland Fianna.
1958 - Winners of St Enda's Cup.
1964 - Beragh St Mary's relegated to Intermediate.
1966 - Reached Intermediate Semi-Final.
1972 - Re-named Beragh Red Knightsd to mark Golden Jubilee of original Red Knights. Won West Tyrone Intermediate League, reached championship semi-final and promoted Senior.
1981 - Won Division Three League title, reached Junior Final.
1982 - Reached Intermediate Semi-Final.
1983 - Hurling Team established in the parish.
1984 - Won Reserve Championship and Club of the Year Award.
1985 - Tyrone Juvenile Champions in Grade One and Division Two Reserve Champions.
1986 - Club Structure and Training programme re-organised.
1988 - Junior League and Championship double-winners.
1989 - Intermediate Finalists, runners-up in Division Two League and West Tyrone U-16 League winners.
1992 - Intermediate Finalists.
1993 - Won Intermediate title for first time, Ladies football team formed.
1994 - Ladies winners of Tyrone Intermediate title.
1995 - Reached Senior League Semi-Final, lost to Carrickmore.
1996 - Reached Senior Championship Semi-Final, losing out to Errigal Ciaran. Also Senior League Semi-Finalists, losing out to Errigal Ciaran.
1997 - Relegated back to Intermediate.
1999 - Winners of McElduff and McGarrity Cups.
2000 - Intermediate League and Championship double-winners.
2001 - Relegated to Intermediate, Ladies win Intermediate Championship.
2002 - Relegated to Junior.
2003 - Reserve League winners.
2004/2005 - Reserve League and Championship winners.
2006 - Club CentenaryYear/Reserve championship winners/ New sports pavillion opens
