Steven Owens was involved in founding a club at the University of Aberdeen, where they won the Scottish Universities championship in their inaugral year -1997, and were runners-up of the British Universities championship the same year. Afterwhich Steven played and was the chairman of Leciester St Colmcilles in England 1998-2004. Kieran Cox plays for Connemara Gaels in Boston.

Kieran joined the Gaels in 2001 and that was the last time they won the
senior championship. He plays mostly at right half back, but has played in every position at some time over the years. For the last number of years Martin Kerr, another Beragh Gael, has been the manager, so Beragh is well represented !

Gary Donnelly, Emmett Rodgers, Sean Munroe, Brian Mc Cartan and Niall Meenagh have also played for the Connemara Gaels.
